Laughton Kora, with his incredible voice and immense talent has been at the forefront of New Zealand music for over the past decade. Expect Laughton to take you on a journey of electronic funk that will tantalise the ears, give you the overwhelming urge to party & leave you wanting more!
GABRIELLA GONZALEZ DJ - 7.30PM - 9.30PM
‘A pocket-rocket music maker delivering feel-good vibes and infectious House tunes’. Gabriella has been hooked on the world of music since she started mixing tunes in her bedroom aged just 13. It is fair to say whatever this ever-energetic DJ may lack in stature, she certainly makes up for when it comes to playing it large on the decks. Comments from an Auckland club promoter: “This pint-sized paquita packs a punch.”

LOOKING FOR ALASKA - 12PM - 2PM
Aaron Gott and Amy Maynard offer up a sound rooted in country-style guitar and soaring harmonies woven together at their very fibre, intensified by their on-stage chemistry. The duo's familiarity, closeness and authenticity, creates a magnetic performance style and has seen them open for the likes of Fly My Pretties, Herbs and Tiny Ruins, and as a featured act at the Canterbury Folk Festival
ANNA CODDINGTON - 2PM - 4PM
Anna is known for her enchanting live performances - a voice which “flows perfectly from soft to grunty”, and for her songwriting prowess which has seen her in the Silver Scroll Top 20 list four times. She is a regular in the Fly My Pretties collaboration, has performed Aotearoa’s top music and arts festivals, and has sung her way around the country on numerous tours over the years. Anna's last album Luck/Time was critically acclaimed, and she is currently working on a follow up.

THE ROCKING ROLLER-COASTERS - 5.30PM - 7.30PM
The Rocking Roller-Coasters are a group of four twenty-somethings who are dedicated to 50s and 60s rock n' roll and pop. Founded in 2009 with the intention of re-invigorating the classics with a youthful energy that stays true to the original rebellious spirit of true rock n' roll. The result, a band that gets an audience of any age group up on their feet!
PETER URLICH - 7.30PM - 9.30PM
Peter Urlich has been an icon on the New Zealand music scene since the late 70’s when he fronted, Th’ Dudes with Dave Dobbyn and Ian Morris. He moved into the dance music world in the 80s, which saw him open a string of nightclubs and eventually the famous DJ duet, Nice'n'Urlich, alongside Bevan Keys. Peter takes on the Friday evening slot with a set of hands-up house classics.

ALBI & THE WOLVES - 12PM - 2PM
Albi & The Wolves create huge sounds with only an acoustic guitar, an electric violin, a double bass, and their three voices. Chris Dent (the proud albino front man Albi), Pascal Roggen, and Micheal Young’s individuality shines through the music to make something compelling, uplifting, soulful fun. The band recently won the Best Folk Artist 2018 TUI at the New Zealand Music Awards for their debut album One Eye Open.
JT & THE SAXMAN - 2PM - 4PM
Enjoy the classy, entertaining and extremely musical combination of J.T. and the Saxman. J.T. (John) is a consummate blues and soul guitarist with an amazing voice. Andrew (Saxman) Dixon is most likely recognised for his role as Soprano Sax player with the Nairobi Trio - one of New Zealand's long-standing groups having played concerts both locally & throughout Europe.

SAL VALENTINE - 5.30PM - 7.30PM
Sal Valentine has been making a name for himself as a bandleader, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and DJ over the past 6 years. He can be found selecting a pan-generational sprinkling of finely curated tunes - specialising in throwback gems, rare groove, soul and classic dance floor fillers.
MISTER SPEAKER - 7.30PM - 9.30PM
Mister Speaker are an Auckland based funk and soul powerhouse here to take you back to a funkier time! Vocalists Tane Tari and Geneva Alexander-Marsters are backed by their 8 piece band performing authentic, dynamic funk and soul music from artists such as James Brown, Parliament, and Sly & the Family Stone!

TWO MANY CHIEFS - 12PM - 1PM & 4PM - 5PM
Two Many Chiefs, a funky live band, play jazzed up hits from a wide repertoire, that will get everyone dancing. They’re an Auckland-based trio but will be spicing things up with some added funky saxophone riffs, to make them a banging 4-piece band at Taste this year.
